Volunteering

“To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow.” ~ Audrey Hepburn

Volunteering at South Merrill Community Garden is a wonderful way to give back to your community. Over the last seven years, we have brought food donations, education and fun to hundreds of families, seniors and children in South Shore. Our programs empower people of all ages, income levels, and abilities by reconnecting them with nature to nurture the body, mind and spirit through gardening, art, cooking, meditation and nutrition education.

Due to COVID-19 precautions, South Merrill Community Garden will comply with the CDC recommended social distancing and use of face-coverings. We will also follow strict disinfecting procedures before and after use of tools.

We are seeking consistent volunteers this summer, who are available to assist us in beautification and maintenance of the garden for 3 hours each Saturday from June – October 31 between 10:00 – 1:00 pm.

Donating your time will help South Merrill Community Garden to operate and produce an organic food resource to fill the gap of food insecurity within the South Shore Community.
